Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Forge Fundraising, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. Continued use of the service after updates to these terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

Forge Fundraising is a fundraising operations platform designed for teams, schools, nonprofits, and community groups. The platform provides campaign tracking, sponsor management, financial tracking, document storage, team collaboration, AI-assisted content generation, and reporting tools to help you plan, run, and account for your fundraising efforts.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Accounts are for individual use. Each person should have their own account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Forge Fundraising.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Forge Fundraising for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting fraudulent fundraising campaigns.
  • Misrepresenting your organization's tax-exempt status or eligibility to receive tax-deductible donations.
  • Soliciting funds under false pretenses or for purposes other than those stated in your campaigns.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial records, receipts, and reports you create within the platform. Forge Fundraising provides tools for organization but does not audit or verify your data.

5. Your Data

You own your data. Forge Fundraising does not claim any ownership rights over the content, documents, financial records, or other materials you upload or create on the platform. You may export or delete your data at any time through the tools provided in your account settings.

6. AI Features

Forge Fundraising offers optional AI-powered features that can draft sponsor letters, thank-you notes, social media posts, campaign summaries, and other content on your behalf. These AI-generated outputs are provided as drafts for your review.

  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before sending, publishing, or otherwise using it.
  • AI features are powered by the Anthropic API. Content you submit to AI features is processed to generate responses but is not used to train AI models.

7. Payments & Billing

Forge Fundraising offers a free tier with core features and paid subscription plans with additional capabilities. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have a concern.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep Forge Fundraising available and reliable, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally perform scheduled maintenance, and we will provide reasonable advance notice when possible. We are not liable for any disruption, data loss, or inconvenience caused by downtime, whether planned or unplanned.

9. Limitation of Liability

Forge Fundraising is a software tool for organizing fundraising activities. It is not a tax advisor, legal advisor, or financial advisor. You should consult qualified professionals for guidance on tax compliance, legal obligations, and financial management specific to your organization.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge Fundraising and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. We are not responsible for fundraising outcomes, donor behavior, or third-party actions. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either you or Forge Fundraising may terminate your account at any time. If we terminate your account for a violation of these terms, we will notify you with an explanation. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted. You may also delete your account and data at any time through your account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will notify you through the app at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. Your continued use of Forge Fundraising after the updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.
